: Elimination of Textiles and Clothing Quotas in 2005
Further to Commercial Information Circular (CIC) No. 168/2004 cum Notice
to Exporters: Series 1 (USA) No. 28/2004, the US Committee for the Implementation
of Textile Agreements (CITA) published a Federal Register (FR) notice
of 17 December 2004 directing the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP)
to cancel visa and ELVIS requirements for textiles and clothing products
exported from WTO members on and after 1 January 2005. A copy of the FR
notice is at the Annex (pdf format).
