TRADE AND INDUSTRY DEPARTMENT CIRCULAR
UNITED NATIONS SANCTIONS REGULATION CONCERNING SIERRA LEONE GAZETTED
This is to announce for general information that on 14 January 2011 the Government gazetted the United Nations Sanctions (Arms Embargoes) Regulation (Repeal) Regulation (L.N. 10 of 2011).

This Regulation, made under section 3 of the United Nations Sanctions Ordinance (Cap. 537, Laws of Hong Kong), is to give effect to a decision of the United Nations Security Council to terminate arms-related sanctions against Sierra Leone under Resolution 1940. The Regulation repeals the United Nations Sanctions (Arms Embargoes) Regulation (Cap. 537E), which provides for arms-related sanctions against Sierra Leone as the only remaining "prohibited destination", with effect from 14 January 2011.
