Seminar for
SMEs on design and brand building

The
Support and Consultation Centre for SMEs (SUCCESS) of the Trade and Industry
Department, and the SME Centre of the Hong Kong Productivity Council, will
jointly organise a series of seminars from March to July to promote SMEs'
awareness on the importance of product design and packaging, and brand-building.
The first seminar, entitled "Let's Start from Design", will be
held on March 6. Interested parties
are welcome to attend.
The
seminar will be held from 2:30 pm to 5:00
pm at the Lecture Theatre, Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway
Bay, Hong Kong (Tin Hau MTR Station Exit B).
Leading
designers and consultants in the local design industry will be invited to speak
on the importance of product design and packaging in enhancing product values
and building product/corporate identities, and provide advice on how to solicit
services from designers. Speakers include Mr Freeman Lau, Secretary General, Hong Kong
Federation of Design Associations; Mr Christopher Chow, Chief Executive, Hong
Kong Design Centre; and Mr Cary Wong, Senior Designer, Design-Innovation (HK)
Ltd.
The
seminar has also invited Ms Salina Pao, Marketing Director, Watson's Water; and
Mr Simon Leung, Senior Manager, Business Development, Group Sense Limited
(Instant-Dict) to share with audiences how their companies thrive on creativity
in product development and brand building.
The
seminar will be conducted in Cantonese. Admission
is free of charge. Interested
parties are requested to register with the Trade and Industry Department by
