Seminar
for SMEs on re-branding

The
Support and Consultation Centre for SMEs (SUCCESS) of the Trade and Industry
Department, and the SME Centre of the Hong Kong Productivity Council, will
jointly organise a seminar on re-branding on July 10.
Interested parties are welcome to attend.
The seminar will be held from 2.30 to 5 pm at the Lecture
Theatre, Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
(Tin Hau MTR Station Exit B).
It is the second part of a series of seminars on
"Innovation & Value Added". The
seminar aims to promote SMEs' awareness on brand building, as well as
introducing ways and means for SMEs to re-build and re-market their existing
brands.
Representatives from prominent enterprises will share with
the audience their experience in brand re-building and their strategies in
market re-positioning and promotion. Speakers
include Ms Candy Tam, General Manager, The-red-room; Mr Raymond Chui, Deputy
Chief Executive Officer, U-Right International Holdings Limited (U-Right); and
Mr Anthony Ngai, Customer Service, Retail Product and Training Manager, Seven
Sea Chemicals (Holdings) Limited (Sea Horse & HECOM).
Mr John Wong, Chief Intellectual Property Examiner,
Intellectual Property Department will explain how to protect the
brands/trademarks from infringement of intellectual property rights.
The seminar will be conducted in Cantonese.
Admission is free of charge. Interested
parties are requested to register with the Trade and Industry Department by July

Besides, The-red-room will offer free logo/trademark design
advice to two SMEs joining the seminar. Interested
SMEs should furnish their company name, nature of industry/business, present
logo/trademark, number of employees in Hong Kong, details of products/services
provided, type of customers, expectation of new logo/trademark, and future
company direction to SUCCESS by fax at 2375 7105 or by e-mail via smeact@tid.gov.hk
by June 24, 2003. Two shortlisted
participants will be chosen by the organiser.
