Seminar for SMEs on
brand building

Small and Medium Enterprises
(SMEs) operators who wish to know more about brand building are invited
to attend a seminar on 7 May. The seminar is jointly organised by the
Support and Consultation Centre for SMEs (SUCCESS) of the Trade and Industry
Department (TID), and the Hong Kong Productivity Council's SME Centre.
The seminar will be
from 2.30 pm to 5 pm. The venue is the Exhibition Hall, 4/F, HKPC Building,
78 Tat Chee Avenue, Kowloon (MTR Kowloon Tong Station Exit C1).
The seminar aims to
help SMEs understand the importance of brand and image building in enhancing
competitiveness, introduce to them strategies for developing brand names,
and provide an opportunity for them to learn from those who are successful
in this aspect.
At the seminar, Mr
Simon Wong, Group Chairman and Managing Director of Kampery Development
Ltd., and Mr Boby Chan, Chairman and Managing Director of Moiselle International
Holdings Limited, will share with audiences their experience in brand
building. Mr Sherman Lam, Chairman of the Hong Kong Institute of Marketing,
will speak on the importance of brand building for SMEs. Miss Fonnie Ip,
Brand Consultant of Landor Associate, will provide advice on image re-engineering.
Mr John Wong, Chief Intellectual Property Examiner of the Intellectual
Property Department, will explain the procedures for trademark registration.
The seminar will be
conducted in Cantonese. Admission is free of charge. Interested parties
are requested to register with the Trade and Industry Department. For
